DSponsor is a decentralized media sponsoring protocol that enables a new form of sponsoring by tokenizing advertising spaces. Our mission is to help media remain independant and free to access for everyone while having a revenue model that allows media to get funded.
Tokenization is the process of converting an asset, in this case, advertising space, into a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) which is a digital token on the blockchain. This brings ownership of digital spaces. Each token representing an advertising space is unique (non-fungible) and can be bought, sold, or exchanged. This implies that sponsors are now investors in the media, meaning that their interests are aligned with a common goal: for the media to gain more visibility and traction, which requires quality content and advertising.
Media face several issues when it comes to monetization. The question is how media can remain independent and free to access for everyone while having a sustainable revenue model.

There is a clear issue for media when it comes to monetization, especially for new media. Indeed, it is extremely complicated for a media entity (such as a newsletter, podcast, mobile application, etc.) to get paid for advertising if it does not have any Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
In traditional monetization, sponsors are not incentivized by the future reach of a media. Consequently, the interests of media and sponsors are not aligned, allowing sponsors to push advertisements that may not benefit the media and can decrease the overall content quality.
In the current monetization system, the community does not have its place. The community is totally passive and can only consume content, which makes it even more difficult for new media to gain visibility at the beginning, as viewers cannot have an impact on it.
Early Funding: Through DSponsor, media can secure funding before having important KPI metrics, ensuring initial financial stability. Indeed, investors invest in the future audience exposure of a media.
